Summary of IT Accounts

The following accounts are managed by the UNH IT Account Administrators broken up into the Accounts for Student, Account for Faculty/Staff and Enterprise Application Accounts. This list of accounts is not inclusive of all IT systems managed by UNH or even UNH IT.

Accounts for Faculty/Staff Get Started Password Help  
  1. MyUNH/Blackboard accounts are created automatically upon completion of all HR paperwork (i.e. when an EPAF is filled for the specific appointment), or upon completion of a New Hire Verification form.
  2. CIS Unix webmail accounts are created for most faculty/staff 1 day after the start date specified on EPAF.
  3. All other accounts must be applied for individual and will not be created until after the start date specified on the EPAF.

Enterprise Applications Accounts How to Apply Password Help  
All Enterprise applications must be applied for individually and access is contingent upon approval by the appropriate data stewards. You will need an AD Account in order to log into the ECG VPN (https://ecgvpn.unh.edu). If you do not have an AD account then one will be create for you with any Enterprise accounts.

Accounts for Students Get Started Password Help  
  1. With the exception of UNHINFO Web Contributor Accounts, which must be applied for separately, all UNH IT Accounts for students are created automatically based upon enrollment status: 
    • MyUNH Blackboard accounts are created upon application to UNH,
    • CIS Unix Webmail is created prior to orientation, and
    • Wildcat accounts are created prior to the start of classes
