Network Registration

Network and Security Services
 
UNH Network Services Provides Internet and campus network connectivity for UNH Residents, Faculty, Researchers, and Staff. This includes ethernet connectivity and Wireless-WiiFi access points on the Durham and Manchester campuses.
 
UNH IT security services
 
Network Operations provides IT security systems for the campus. We also provide custom IT security consulting and design to protect department resources. UNH IT Security technologies include VPN, firewall, intrusion-detection/prevention systems, access control (NetReg and Register), Quarantine automation, PC-Checkup, and other systems. Please visit the USNH Security Clearing House which provides information about IT security including best practices for server and desktop security management, virus and spam control, and current urgent security issues.
 
UNH Network Services operates Wide Area Networks for USNH and a variety of New Hampshire non-profit institutions. This includes high-speed connections among campus sites and Internet and Internet 2 feeds and distribution. Governance of the USNH WAN and other USNH technical projects and collaborations is provided through the USNH TechTel committee.
 
UNH Network Services also manages the Granite State Distance Learning Network and provides Internet and video-conferencing for the New Hampshire Community Technical College System.
 

Network Operations is part of the Telecommunications and Client Services (TCS) Department within the UNH Computing and Information Services (CIS) department.
