What's New
IDC instructional designers explore and pilot new tools and techniques that positively impact teaching and learning. Our recent initiatives include:
-
Fundamentals of Online Instruction
UNH Academic Technology is excited to offer this course to acclimate faculty to online
teaching best practices and support the growth and quality of eUNH, the initiative charged
with growing the university’s online offerings. This five-week online and asynchronous
course will familiarize UNH instructors with the fundamentals of teaching online and
provide an opportunity to begin development of an eUNH course. The modules are
structured to introduce new concepts and offer opportunities for personal reflection on
current teaching practices, and apply new approaches in the construction of an online
course. Topics include the fundamentals of quality, course design and development,
instructor presence, teaching strategies, collaboration.
-
eUNH Community of Practice
In support of the eUNH initiative, Academic Technology is launching an open and online
community of practice for faculty, staff, and the greater community of education and
technology practitioners interested in online instruction. Around the focus of teaching and
learning online, the community is designed to support the following:
-
Sharing and aggregating existing best practices, knowledge, and resources.
-
Generating new knowledge, ideas, resources, and best practices.
-
Connecting people, promoting dialogue, and encouraging mentorship with educators, their peers, instructional designers, various media technology specialists and experts in the field.
-
Evaluating and selecting appropriate tools, technologies, and approaches.
-
